The Tanzania National Debate Championship (TNDC) 2025 took place from June 7th to 12th at The School of St Jude in Arusha. Organized by the Tanzania National Debate Society (TANDS), this prestigious annual event brought together students from across the country to engage in debates on pressing national and global issues. With a focus on enhancing public speaking, critical thinking, and research skills, TNDC continues to provide a dynamic platform for young voices to be heard and challenged.
This year’s competition featured over 30 schools in the Junior Debate Category alone, making it one of the most competitive editions yet. Among the many talented participants, St. Joseph Boys' Science Secondary School emerged as the champions in the Junior Category. Their performance showcased not only their preparation and teamwork but also their ability to construct compelling arguments and respond with clarity and confidence under pressure.
The victory is a testament to the school’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and holistic education. It also reflects the hard work of the students and guidance from their dedicated debate mentors. As the 2025 Junior Debate Champions, St. Joseph Boys' Science Secondary School has set a high standard and inspired many other young debaters across Tanzania.
